Job description
Our Flight Cases department is responsible for the assembly of custom transport and packaging solutions made from wood and metal. Today, the department focuses on relatively straightforward assembly activities, but significant growth is expected in the coming years. Additional operations and responsibilities will gradually be introduced to the department, creating new opportunities for both the team and its leadership.
As Team Lead Flight Cases, you are responsible for the daily coordination of the department and the people within it. You ensure that production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and employees have the guidance they need to perform efficiently and safely. You spend most of your time on the shop floor, supporting the team and ensuring work progresses according to plan.
Beyond the day-to-day operation, you will play an important role in the future development of the department. As volumes increase and new activities are integrated, you will help establish structure, improve processes, and prepare the team for growth. Success in this role means building a stable operation today while helping shape what the department will become tomorrow.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support a team of production and assembly employees
- Monitor daily production output, quality, safety, and delivery performance
- Coordinate staffing and workload planning to meet operational requirements
- Ensure work instructions, procedures, and quality standards are followed consistently
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks on the shop floor
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and workplace organization
- Support the growth and further professionalization of the Flight Cases department
Your team
You will lead a team responsible for assembling flight cases and transport solutions used to protect high-value products during storage and transportation. The work consists mainly of wood and metal assembly activities and requires consistency, attention to detail, and a strong focus on quality.
You will work closely with fellow Team Leads, Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Production Management. The department is entering an exciting phase of development, where current operations will expand and additional activities may be integrated over time.
The team appreciates clear communication, practical leadership, and a manager who is visible on the work floor. People work hard, help each other when needed, and value a structured environment where expectations are clear. As Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact, not only in managing daily operations but also in shaping the future direction of the department as it continues to grow.
If you enjoy combining people leadership with operational responsibility and would like to help build a department with ambitious growth plans, we would be pleased to tell you more about the role and the team.
