Job description
Are you interested in purchasing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and contributing to a professional procurement strategy? Join us at HQ Group as a Buyer in Eindhoven. We are a High-Tech Packaging company, and we are looking for someone proactive and driven to strengthen our procurement team.
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for both the operational and tactical procurement of various materials and products. Your main tasks will include:
- Purchasing Materials: Managing the day-to-day procurement of materials and products, ensuring availability, quality, and on-time delivery to support our operations.
- Supplier Management & Negotiation: Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships. You will negotiate pricing, delivery conditions, and agreements to achieve the best overall value for the organization.
- Evaluating Quotations and Processing Orders: Reviewing supplier quotations, comparing offers, and managing the order process to ensure everything is completed accurately and on time.
- Tactical Procurement Activities: Identifying opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and process optimization. You will support supplier selection, conduct market research, and contribute to sourcing strategies.
- Supplier Performance Management: Monitoring supplier performance on quality, delivery, service, and cost. You will initiate improvement actions where needed and support continuous supplier development.
- Handling Complaints and Problem Solving: Addressing and resolving supplier-related issues swiftly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and customer commitments.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively contributing ideas and initiatives to improve procurement processes, increase efficiency, and support the company's growth objectives.
Your team
You will be part of our Service Center organization, where you will work closely with a dedicated Buyer and our international Supply Chain team. Together, you ensure the smooth procurement and availability of materials and products across our operations. The role requires strong collaboration with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and colleagues across different locations to support business continuity, optimize supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement.
